How do I use a monitor as a photo background?
Select white, gray, black, or a custom color and open it in fullscreen. Place a small product in front of the monitor with enough distance to keep the pixel grid and reflections out of focus, then match camera exposure to the subject rather than the bright screen.
A monitor photography backdrop is most useful for small objects, close portraits, and tabletop video. Clean the display, lower sharpness if moiré appears, and avoid touching the panel with the subject.
Chroma backgrounds
Can I use a fullscreen green background for chroma key?
A chroma green screen on a monitor can work for tests and tight shots. Move the subject away from the display, light the face separately, and keep green reflections off glossy surfaces and skin.
For full-body work, a physical backdrop is usually more even and much larger. Use the blue preset when the subject contains green clothing or objects, and record a short test before the final shoot.
